What is Parent Academy?
Parent Academy is a monthly parent training at Haywood. It is a great way for parents and family members to get involved in school throughout the year!
When is Parent Academy?
Haywood will host one Parent Academy per month. Parent Academy will take place on the fourth Tuesday of every month, from 9:00 - 10:00 am.
What will we do at Parent Academy?

Eat! Coffee and snacks will be provided.
- Ask questions! This is a perfect opportunity to ask us any questions you have about school, the classrooms, the curriculum, special events, volunteer opportunities, or anything else you are curious about.
- Learn! We will have a different topic at each Parent Academy. Sometimes, school staff will show you how to help your child with Reading, Writing, Math, or other academic skills. Other months, community partners will discuss various topics, such as road safety, booster seat safety, what to do if you’re the victim of a crime, and more!
